Ground modelling

The purpose of a ground modelling and “cut and fill” design is to ensure earthworks and site works associated with site development are sympathetic to the topography of the site, by using appropriate design principles and minimising earthworks, associated impacts on the site and neighbouring land and waste removal from site.

Waldeck have produced ground modelling and “cut and fill” design on a wide range of projects

Our objectives on these projects has been as follows:

  • To promote development that is sympathetic with the existing topography, water cycle and amenity of the site and neighbourhood;
  • To minimise the extent of earth works on land and earthworks associated with site development;
  • To ensure that the building design is appropriate for site topographical conditions and with consideration given to the stability and privacy of the adjoining properties;
  • To promote water sensitive urban design (including minimising of impervious surface area) and best practice erosion and sediment control measures on residential land.
  • To ensure efficient waste management in terms of reduction of soil removal off site.
  • Efficient Highway and Drainage design
  • Aesthetic site design
