Social housing
Waldeck has been an integral part of social housing construction since we started out in 1995. During that time the design standards and criteria for end-user acceptance have changed beyond recognition.
- We pride ourselves on our capacity to adapt within this continually changing and challenging sector
- The government’s Code for Sustainable Homes places additional requirements on the social housing sector to produce buildings that have minimal environmental impact. From the outset of a project we can advise on how to achieve the requirements of these standards cost effectively
- Our up-to-date knowledge of developments in design codes and construction products enables us to incorporate innovative technologies in housing schemes, which will improve the overall building performance, site efficiency or cost competitiveness. At the same time compliance with all necessary regulations is attained
- Typical projects include townships, affordable housing, eco-homes, sheltered accommodation, mixed-use, care homes and key worker / student accommodation
Our extensive track record in the Social Housing sector has seen us:
- involved in providing advice on site purchase and subsequent development through to providing alternative site design options to maximize your opportunity
- included in projects ranging from small private domestic builds through to major new-build development with multiple residential properties and social facilities
- become a part of frameworks for both small developers as well as £multi-billion arrangements
- work with private individuals, Registered Social Landlords (RSLs), social housing associations and local authorities throughout the UK
- develop a strong commitment to sustainability
- become one of only a handful of consulting civil & structural engineers who are accredited on The Green Register of Construction Professionals
- create a team which includes qualified Code for Sustainable Homes assessors
