Kings Dock Mill, Liverpool
Kings Dock Mill occupies a 1.5 acre Brownfield site near Liverpool’s historic waterfront in the Baltic Triangle area of the city. The £50m development consists of a complex of brick clad buildings; the scheme will feature 150 bedroom hotel, 190 new apartments and 350 square metres of office space.
The scheme is being led by LAGP Architects who are both the architect and main developer of the project. Contractors started excavating the foundations in October 2008 with completion set for early 2010. Waldeck Associates designed and detailed the specialist precast system based on a traditional crosswall system and is quite possibly one of the largest and most complex live application of this technology of its kind in the country today.
