Waldeck continue to show support to community and charitable organizations within the East Midlands having recently made a donation of £2700 to the Rainbows Children’s Hospice, Loughborough.
Rainbows is a purpose built children’s hospice which first opened its doors in 1994. At Rainbows they are dedicated to meeting the needs of children and young people from the East Midlands who come to the hospice. These children and young people are all affected by life-limiting and life threatening condition.
At Rainbows, they offer specialist respite stays, symptom management, palliative and end of life care for children and young people as well as support for the whole of the family. Based in Loughborough, Leicestershire each year they need to raise £2.8 million to keep the eight bedded hospice operational, and this money is donated by generous people and businesses from across the East Midlands who have really taken Rainbows to their hearts.
